This week in immigration:

• Arizona remained in the foreground, with sports stars and celebrities joining public officials and police chiefs in denouncing and challenging the legitimacy of SB1070.
• Meanwhile, President Obama restated his commitment to seeing immigration reform in 2010, but has been criticized for not laying out a timeline or being more assertive in his leadership.
• And last weekend, over half a million people turned up across the country to rally in support of immigration reform.
